John Masserano is the founder of Align Healthcare Real Estate (Align HRE) in partnership with Joseph Lombardi. At Align HRE, Masserano and Lombardi provide comprehensive real estate brokerage services to doctors, assisting them with market research, site selection, lease and purchase negotiation as well as seller/landlord representation of healthcare oriented real estate.
Masserano is also the founder of Masserano Real Estate and Consulting (MREC) where he leads a highly skilled and experienced team that assists doctors through the processes involved with developing new office locations and starting practices, focusing on all aspects of real estate, design, construction and project management. The two companies uniquely leverage one another’s substantial skills, talents and vast networks to achieve industry leading results for their clients.
Masserano is a commercial real estate, design and construction expert who graduated from the University of Alabama with a B.S. in finance and a concentration in real estate. He has practiced various commercial real estate disciplines for over 27 years, most of which have centered around the dental and healthcare community. Prior to founding Align HREC in 2021 and MREC in 2005, notably Masserano delivered business services on a national and international basis through Orthodontic Centers of America, Inc., formerly the world’s largest publicly traded provider of business services to orthodontists and pediatric dentists. There, he served as vice-president of real estate and construction, developing numerous dental facilities while simultaneously overseeing a full range of real estate, construction and design services for nearly 1,000 practices. In the United States, he completed real estate transactions and developed facilities within almost every city or submarket with a population of 100,000 or more.

Joe Lombardi is a medical and dental office development consultant that specializes in creating added value to practices through real estate strategy and operation. He combines deep market knowledge and vast transactional experience to provide his clients with insightful and value-driven real estate services. His expertise enables his clients to accomplish the unique objectives they have for their real estate positions while also creating flexibility and leverage on their behalf.
Since graduating from New York University in 2005 with a BS in Real Estate, Lombardi has covered a lot of ground in the industry and has seen the business from many angles. Starting in finance as a CMBS analyst, Lombardi went on to become a commercial property acquisition specialist and managed a 1.2 million square foot retail, shopping center, medical office and commercial land portfolio for a prominent New Jersey developer. Thereafter, Lombardi was the sole leasing representative for a national medical office building owner. Having been responsible for lease procurement and management of a 1.6 million square foot multi-state portfolio, he was thoroughly engaged in the real estate strategies and operations of many different healthcare providers throughout the country. Most recently, Lombardi was the founder of Metropolitan Healthcare Properties, a full service real estate company specializing in the sale, leasing, investment and management of medical facilities in the New York City metropolitan area.
Joe Lombardi is a licensed real estate broker in New Jersey and salesperson in New York and Connecticut. He has earned a Certified Leasing Specialist (CLS) designation from the International Council of Shopping Centers and has served and advised on municipal planning boards.
